A. Alysha Clous

Alysha has practiced law in central Ohio since 1999.  After serving as law clerk for former Franklin County Probate Judge Lawrence Belskis, Alysha was sworn in as a magistrate judge.  In the private sector Alyshaworked as a probate attorney for a medium sized firm in Central Ohio.  With typical efficiency, Alysha and her husband Jon became proud parents of three children in three years.  For the next 15 years, Alysha worked as an assistant bar counsel for the Columbus Bar Association, investigating and prosecuting attorney ethics cases.  In 2019 Alysha returned to the Franklin County Probate Court as a magistrate judge, serving under Judges Montgomery and Mackey.   Alysha is delighted to use her litigation and probate experience for the benefit of her clients and to be a member of Team Clousington (as Heather and Alysha were dubbed during COVID when no one could tell them apart behind their masks!).  

When not working as a friendly-dragon-mom-lawyer (see image below), Alysha attempts to make things grow in her garden, bakes fancy things that call for way too much butter, and rows with a crew so she can eat more of the fancy baked things.
